Mudancas fisiológicas durante exercicios aeróbicos com máscara

Objetivo. Identificar as mudancas fisiológicas durante o exercício aeróbio com máscara em adultos. Material e métodos. Foi utilizada uma adaptação da metodologia de revisão rápida Cochrane. Foram consultados Pubmed, EMBASE e Scopus, utilizando os termos "máscara facial", "sinal vital" e "exercício aeróbio". Foram incluídos estudos experimentais, em adultos e com exercícios aeróbicos. Resultados. Foram encontrados 331 artigos, 12 foram selecionados. A máscara cirúrgica e o N95 foram avaliados em três e seis investigações, respectivamente. Durante o exercício de baixa intensidade com máscara, foram observados aumentos da frequência cardíaca e respiratória, da temperatura e da concentração de CO2, com alterações leves e sem importância clínica. A percepção de esforço permaneceu inalterada. Não foram encontrados estudos com intervenções de moderada ou alta intensidade. Conclusão. o uso de máscaras faciais aumenta levemente algumas variáveis fisiológicas e sem relevância clínica durante o exercício de baixa intensidade. Pesquisas futuras devem avaliar as mudanças fisiológicas durante o exercício de moderada e alta intensidade.
