Principales influencias en la historia y desarrollo de la neuropsicología.

Resumen

Este artículo proporciona un resumen de la historia y desarrollo de la neuropsicología que abarca el periodo comprendido entre 1940 y la primera década del presente siglo. Se conformó a partir de una revisión narrativa de la literatura enfocada en la historia de la neuropsicología, específicamente la revisión de la versión completa de diez libros y 43 artículos. Esta literatura de base se complementó con 100 publicaciones (artículos -en mayor proporcióny capítulos de libros) en formato completo, con fecha de publicación de 1940 a 2010, sumando más de 150 referencias de contexto histórico.
Se realizaron resúmenes conceptuales década por década. Por medio de un análisis de tendencias conceptuales de citación-referencia, se identificaron seis principales influencias: la neuropsicología de Luria, el modelo de aproximación por procesos de Boston, la neuropsicología cognitiva, la neuropsicología holística moderna, el enfoque psicológico en neuropsicología y, de forma más
reciente, el enfoque transcultural. También se presentan algunos avances en regulación profesional y formación especializada, lo que demuestra la complejidad y diversidad de los planteamientos y desarrollo propios de la neuropsicología. En esencia, esta información puede ser útil para realizar hoy en día análisis y reflexiones mínimamente fundamentadas y documentadas
