Abstract

The  sorites  paradox  is  widely  known  for  showing  the  contradictory  consequences  that reasoning  with  vague  terms might  have.  Important  analytic  philosophers  like  Bertrand Russell and Gottlob  Frege strongly supported the idea that  contradictions like those in the sorites paradox are due to the vagueness of common language. This work attempts to propose a methodology based on fuzzy logic that shows that the sorites type reasoning are consistent and sound however the vague terms it might contain.
