In this issue 29 of the Cuadernos Latinoamericanos de Administración, several reflection articles are published, on the issue of the gender gap and the inequality of women in the current global village, with emphasis on Latin America and the Caribbean. In this regard, case studies are illustrated, such as gender gaps in education and their relationship with poverty and inequality in Colombia; the knowledge society and gender gaps in science, technology and innovation; and, influences on women's leadership to come to power.
