Analysis of the Colombian conflict through the photograph of Jesús Abad Colorado.
A case of innovation in the formation of human rights.

This article informs on a case report that examined the use of photography as a pedagogical method for human rights training. Through a series of pieces by photographer Jesús Abad Colorado, a group of 17 participants pointed out their reflections and experience as observers, to relate it to Peircian semiotic elements and the Master's speech in Hegel and Lacan. The findings associated with the descriptions of the images indicate that students' skills, such as an exercise in pedagogical innovation, using photographic pieces, were evidenced to promote significant learning experience processes and the reinforcement of the human rights foundations.
