Since the pandemic, universities in Mexico had to migrate to an emerging virtual educational system, with teachers being the first actors to face the need to adapt their home into a home office and entering the world of educational technologies. The objective of this research is to know the digital skills of a sample of 85 university teachers who work in an Educational Institution in central Mexico from the Covid-19 era: The study is quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional. An instrument designed by Torres, Gazca and Castro (2021) was used that consists of four dimensions related to technological infrastructure, training, social - economic - health and digital skills. The main results show that in general teachers have the necessary digital skills in more than 80% to be able to face the challenges implied by the teaching - learning process through the virtual modality, however it is important to consider the other complementary part which are the students and also, to know in future investigations if the change caused by the pandemic is really true or was it only the momentary reflection of a need that required survival in the face of Covid-19.
